Yao Ming was born in Shanghai, China on September 12, 1980, he was a basketball player from China and the origin of China's first basketball player who played in the NBA. Since 2002 until now (2007), he played in clubs Houston Rockets. Together with Gheorghe Muresan, Manute Bol and Shawn Bradley, he became the tallest basketball player in NBA competition with a height reaching 226 cm.
